Hickory is the hardest domestic hardwood we carry — Janka 1820 lbf — and the hand-scraped texture adds rustic authenticity that hides everyday wear naturally. Each plank is individually scraped before finishing, so no two boards are identical. The dramatic contrast between light sapwood and dark heartwood makes this floor a statement piece in mountain cabins, ranch homes, and modern farmhouse builds alike.
The 7-coat aluminum oxide finish provides exceptional scratch and scuff resistance, making this one of our most durable options for households with dogs or heavy furniture. Each box covers approximately 25 board-feet with random lengths up to 72 inches. Suitable for nail-down or glue-down installation; not recommended for floating over radiant heat.
